Time for World to Recognize "State of Palestine"

Arab League Secretary General Ahmad Abu Al Gaith put it best when he said that US President Donald Trump decision to recognize occupied Jerusalem as Israel capital amounted to the legalization of occupation. Despite the fact that there had been prior warning Trump move when it came still sent shock waves around the region and the world. It simply killed the peace process. the best thing to come out of the emergency meeting held by Arab foreign ministers in Cairo in the early hours Sunday was the call to the international community to recognize the state of Palestine. It is about time. The fact that the worlds last colonial occupation has lasted so long, and only seems to be getting more entrenched with every passing year, is a blot on the conscience of the international community, The regime in Tel Aviv has, quite literally, got away with theft and murder, with limitless support from the world's only superpower. Trump's move has been almost universally criticism; there is is furor even in the US diplomatic community. How the president's move will help in attaining peace between the two sides is baffling while all past US administrations have taken a blindingly obvious pro Israel line in the peace process what is different this time is that by blatantly declaring occupied Jerusalem as Israel's capital, the US  has left the Palestinians with really nothing to talk about in a peace process sponsored by Washington itself. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas fury is understandable, given that he had believed Washington's promises on the "Peace process" even at a time when it seemed to be going nowhere. His refusal to meet US Vice President Mike Pence is a reflection of the betrayal Abbas feels. Trump move flies in the face of his country policy and UN resolutions, both of which have taken the line that the final status of occupied Jerusalem should be agreed through dialogue between the two parties. From the point of view of the broader Middle East . Trump actions have impacted America allies, and given a boost to extremists who have been suffering significant blows across the region.

"Senate rejects US decision to shift embassy to Jerusalem"

Islamabad: The talk. Senate on Monday strongly condemned and rejected the unilateral announcement made by the US president Donald Trump to shift the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. The Senate in its resolution passed unanimously said that the move was a flagrant violation of the international law, the UN Security Resolutions, especially Resolutions, especially Resolution Number 478 (1980) and 234 (2016) and the international norms. The Senate expressed its serious concern over the implications of this decision for international peace and security, especially in the Middle East. The Senate called upon the United Nations Security Council to take cognizance of the situation and take steps in accordance with the UN Charter and a number of its own resolution according to establishment of settlement by Israel in the Palestine territory occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem, has no legal validity. The Senater declared that the position taken by the US President has exposed the so called position of the US as of an independent peace broker and put a halt to the peace. It urged the US to revisit its decision immediately in order avoid the potentially grave repercussion in the region and beyond and to play its role to deescalate the situation on the ground on the basis of international humanitarian law and the previous agreements and obligations. The Senate declared that all the revealed religions including Judaism, Christianity and Islam claim their affiliation with the holy city of Jerusalem, however the US President Donald Trump through announcement had tried to nullify the religious diversity present in the territory.
The Senate reiterated that any attempt to sabotage the peace process would be the darkest decision of the history and historical wrongs could never be lasting. The Senate appreciated the international community for rejecting the position take by the US President, which had resulted in an isolated United States at the international front.
